That's Why Nothing You've Tried Has Worked
Let's go through your list. Because you have one. Everyone does.
The Boppy or My Brest Friend. Supports the baby's height. Does absolutely nothing for the loop your neck is stuck in. You already know this — it's sitting in the corner right now.
The chiropractor. Resets your spine, once, if you can find childcare and afford the copay. The loop runs the other six days of the week undisturbed.
The "9 stretches for new moms" video. Needs two free hands and a working memory at 3am. You have neither, and you know it, which is probably why you never actually did them.
The heating pad. Treats the ache after the loop already ran its course for the day. Never touches the loop itself. Helps for ten minutes, then you're back up because she's crying.
Ibuprofen, if you even take it. Masks a signal instead of addressing what's sending it — and half of you won't take it anyway, because you're not sure what's safe while you're breastfeeding, and nobody's given you a straight answer.
Waiting it out. The cruelest one. Because it doesn't get better at week eight. For a lot of moms, it's still there at month nine, month eleven, month thirteen — getting quietly worse instead of quietly fading, exactly the way everyone promised it would.
Every single one of those treats a symptom of the loop. Not one of them interrupts it.
You didn't fail at any of this. You were never given anything built to actually work.
